We use a personalised pest treatment proposal, tailored your individual property. Our first choice is always to emply low-toxic and environmentally safe solutions.

Termite Watch is locally owned and operated in Lorne – providing a complete Pest Control service Victoria wide.

TERMITE INSPECTIONS

It is estimated that the cost of termite damage, in Victoria alone, is well over $300 million dollars per year. As most home owners already know; the Surf Coast is a high-risk area for Termites thanks to its mild weather and many trees.

The Australian Standards for pest control advise that every home should be inspected for Timber Pests at least every 12 months, a service which is offered by most Licenced Pest Controllers. These annual tests provide the best first-line defence against attack from termites and provide great peace of mind.

A Timber Pest Inspection Report (when properly performed) will provide you with advice on these sorts of actions, specific to your property.

Quite often the best defence against termites is regular inspections and a bit of DIY work around the house.

TERMITE CONTROL

We know from experience that if a home is more than 25 years old, has Eucalypts in the garden and has not had regular Timber Pest Inspection reports, then we will most likely find active termites in or around the home.

If you think you might have termites, please seek advice from an expert. Don’t disturb the workings, as this will only serve to complicate any remedy. Don’t panic. Do not disturb the termites by using household sprays or removing infested wood. There is no immediate threat to the house, so take time to investigate the size and nature of the problem as well as all the available options.

Never simply remove termite damaged timber without treating the insects first. This could cause further issues later on.

Termite Watch can treat termites using efficient integrated pest control methods.

What our customers are saying

Hello Stephen,

I am writing to sincerely thank you and your team for sorting out our termite and rodent problems. We had been very stressed with the damage that had occurred and you have now put our minds at ease.

My neighbour was experiencing similar problems and I will pass on your number.

Many thanks, Liz

Hello Ashley,

I wanted to let you know that the webbing spider treatment you completed at my house has worked amazingly well.

We haven’t seen a spider for ages and it has saved us so much time and energy not having to constantly clean off webs.

Kind regards, Roger

Hello Ray,

Two of your staff came to our property last Tuesday in response to a rodent problem we were experiencing. I can report that they were both lovely and found the problem without fuss.

Thank you for sending the guys out and we would like to go ahead and continue with the ongoing yearly rodent baiting program. Do you come to Melbourne I also have some concerns at my house?

Thanks again, Sue

Further Termite Control Information

What are Termites?

Termites are sometimes referred to as ‘white ants’ because of their creamy colouring and ant-like appearance. There are over 350 species of termites in Australia of which some 20 species can damage timber in houses. In nature, they assist in the recycling of organic matter and nutrients back to the soil. Termites avoid light and rarely come out into the open. Often they are found within timbers where they leave a wafer thin layer to protect themselves from the outside environment. Sometimes they conceal themselves within mud-like tubes or galleries.
